Matt Covington

Matt Covington is a member of the Board of Directors of KWI and serves a dual role as the Vice President for Research. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from the University California – Santa Cruz, where he worked on in theoretical astrophysics. His research interest lies along the intersection of hydrogeology and geomorphology, with a particular focus on karst aquifers and landforms. He also conducts research on the dynamics of glacial caves, which form inside the ice of glaciers and are a key ingredient to predicting the response of Greenland’s ice sheet to climate change. He is a professor at the University of Arkansas.
