Natasha Sekhon is Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology at Occidental College, a liberal arts college in Los Angeles. Her training is as a low-temperature geochemist. She uses geochemistry (stable isotopes, trace elements, radiometric dating) of cave deposits to study past rainfall and vegetation patterns. She is also interested in understanding modern karst watersheds from a source (rainfall) to sink (cave drip water) perspective to constrain recharge thresholds and water rock interactions. She has ongoing projects in the Philippines and is starting projects in southern California and northwest India.
