Steven J. “Steve” Taylor is a member of the KWI Board of Directors. He has a BA (Biology) from Hendrix College, an MS (Biology) from Texas A&M University, and a PhD (Zoology) from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Since 1997 he has worked at the Illinois Natural History Survey on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign/Urbana Illinois. He is interested in the status and role of invertebrates in ecosystems, and how such knowledge can be used to inform conservation and management of natural resources. His research focuses on the biology, conservation and management of caves, karst, and other subterranean environments, as well as the conservation, management and biology of invertebrates in other habitats.
