KWI Frontiers in Karst: Sulfuric Acid Weathering – REGISTRATION

The KWI Sulfuric Acid Weathering conference planned for June 2-7, 2020 has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak in Italy, which has the potential to cause health, travel, and logistical challenges for participants. Refunds will be issued in the next several weeks for anyone who had already registered. We hope that you will be able to join us for the rescheduled meeting, which will likely be held in early to mid-summer 2021.

Getting there: The conference will be held at Hotel Terme di Frasassi in San Vittore. The nearest airport is Ancona-Falconara (AOI). The nearest train station is Genga S. Vittore Terme. Liability and Medical/Health Insurance information: Upon arrival, all participants in the conference and field trips are required to sign a waiver of liability form showing that they have read and understand the risks. There is an optional emergency medical information form that will be provided at sign-in as well.

Karst Waters Institute and Associazione Le Montagne di San Francisco will not provide health and accident insurance for trip participants. Therefore, any medical expenses, property loss, or other personal expenditures that result during or from this conference are your responsibility. We strongly recommend that you get Travel Insurance from a certified insurance company to protect you and potential traveling companions from expenses due to injuries or loss related to travel and participation in the Program.
